Not worth the money

I purchased this collar at the recommendation of my trainer, who had used them occasionally in the past, but normally uses the Dogtra collars. I am so disappointed. The collar worked well for the first 2-3 months, but I noticed I was going through batteries like crazy, despite being vigilant about turning the collar off when it wasn't in use. Eventually, it got so bad that I'd put a new battery in, and half way through our walk (we usually walk 2 miles in the morning)the battery was dead and I was stuck with a barking dog. I contacted TriTronics several times and was given the run around. My trainer contacted them and eventually they replaced the unit, but alas, I'm having the same issue with the new one. I wouldn't buy or recommend to anyone a TriTronics product. If you want a good quality collar with consistent results, try the Dogra 1900. I love mine and only wish I'd bought it sooner.
